Requirements
Meeting type (regular check-in, career conversation, performance review), direct report context if known
1

Ask the user about their 1:1 needs:

  • What type of 1:1? (regular check-in, career conversation, new hire, performance review)
  • Who is this for? (new team member, tenured IC, struggling performer, high performer)
  • Meeting cadence? (weekly, bi-weekly)
  • How long? (30 min, 45 min, 60 min)
  • Any specific topics you want to cover?

If they just say "1:1 template", create a versatile weekly check-in template.

5

their topics, progress, growth, feedback exchange, close), question bank by theme
(engagement, work, team, career), and post-meeting follow-up checklist.

6

Present the template and offer:

  • "Want me to customize this for a specific direct report?"
  • "Should I create a career conversation version?"
  • "Need a template for new hire 1:1s?"
7

If user shared context about a direct report, save to statePeople Directory
(filename: firstname-lastname.md) with relationship: direct_report.
Include: role, tenure, strengths, development areas, career goals if mentioned.

You MUST use a todo list to complete these steps in order. Never move on to one step if you haven't completed the previous step. If you have multiple CONSECUTIVE read steps in a row, read them all at once (in parallel). Otherwise, do not read a file until you reach that step.

Add all steps to your todo list now and begin executing.
